12 Indian killed in Dubai road mishap, confirms Indian External Affairs Minister

Dubai, June 7 (IBNS): At least 12 Indians were killed as a bus from Oman crashed into a road sign in the United Arab Emirates, officials said on Friday.

External Affairs Minister Dr. S Jaishankar expressed his grief over the incident.

"Deeply grieved by the unfortunate bus accident in Dubai that has claimed 12 Indian lives. My sincere condolences to the families.Our Consulate @cgidubai is extending all help," the new foreign minister of India tweeted.

The Indian Consulate in Dubai earlier unveiled the names of few of the deceased as Rajagopalan, Feroz Khan Pathan, Reshma Feroz Khan Pathan, Deepak Kumar, Jamaludeen Arakkaveettil, Kiran Johnny, Vasudev, Tilakram Jawahar Thakur. 

The consulate earlier said four Indians were discharged after first aid and three are receiving treatment in Rashid hospital.
