U.S.-India Educational Foundation host EducationUSA fair for students of Kolkata

Kolkata, Oct 11 (IBNS): The U.S. Consulate, in association with USIEF played host to the EducationUSA fair, in Kolkata on Saturday.

The event was inaugurated by  U.S. Consul General Craig Hall and threw it open for the students to interact with the participating universities.

Representative of 21 accredited universities from the United States of America participated in the fair and imparted detailed information about their institutions and programmes. These universities offered an array of academic programs at the graduate, undergraduate and doctorate levels.

The universities that took part in the educational fair were University of Bridgeport, School of Visual Arts, Rochester Institute of Technology, University of South Florida, Winona State University, Suffolk University, New York University School of Professional Studies to name a few.

Talking about the influx of Indian students in United States, Craig Hall said, "United States is the most popular destination for students who want study abroad. The Indians make up for the second largest number of students among the international students that the United States receives every year".

The EducationUSA Fair 2015 took place in seven cities, New Delhi, Mumbai, Ahmedabad, Hyderabad, Bangalore, Coimbatore and Kolkata. The fair is an annual outreach event to provide one-on-one interactions between students and participating universities.
