JIS group exhorts students to be entrepreneurs

Kolkata, July 27 (IBNS):West Bengal-based JIS Group, which runs the JIS College of Engineering, has launched an initiative to introduce the idea of entrepreneurship to the students, to help them think out of the box and step into a new territory apart from traditional career outline.


At a session titled "Entrepreneurship" in a city hotel on Monday, the group, which is also known as JIS University, portrayed how new ideas can be implemented and how the JIS Group is going to help them to achieve their dreams along with the help of Department of Design and Patents, Govt. of India.

JIS group has collaboration with some of the top universities of Singapore, Hong Kong and other countries. 

They assured the students to extend all the possible assistance in promoting their new research projects.

 Sabahat Azim,CEO,Glocal Healthcare Pvt ltd, at the session encouraged students to read the struggles of  famous scientists and great entrepreneurs and other personalities.

 "Money is the by-product of excellence," he quoted to exhort the students.



 Subhrangshu Sanyal of IIM Calcutta described  an entrepreneur as one who has the passion of solving a real life problem using new ideas.

He, however, regretted that the youth of lack attitude to solve problems and hence often fall behind in the competitive global market.

Jitrendra Kumar Pradhan, Department of Design and Patents, provided legal advice on designing patents and using them for the goodwill.

Speaking to the media, Sila Singh Ghosh (Vice Principal, Corporate Relation ,JIS Group) announced that JIS group is aiming at proving fund to these entrepreneur and set up the infrastructure required for the development of new ideas.
