Mumbai, Jan 2 (IBNS) Bollywood actress Huma Qureshi recently attended the closure event of breakthroughs 'Mission Hazaar' initiative.

The event took place on Dec 28 at Rohtak in Haryana.

The actress has been associated with the NGO for year's now.

She had attended one of their seminars during her college days as well and had also performed a street play for them on gender equality.

The actress was the chief guest of the event, where she felicitated female achievers like boxing champion winners and women who drove the first pink rickshaw and so on.

'Mission Hazaar' campaign strategically connects the growing concern about women's safety and restrictions on her mobility with "lack of girls".

On a personal level, Huma Qureshi feels that change in our society can only happen if both men and women work towards it equally.

Huma Qureshi who garnered immense appreciation for her performance in Sri Ram Raghvan's Badlapur is currently busy with her upcoming project White.
