Governor of West Bengal inaugurates 20th Annual Concert of Mentaid

Kolkata, October 9 (IBNS) The Governor of West Bengal, Keshari Nath Tripathi, inaugurated the 20th Annual Concert of Mentaid, West Bengal’s first registered parents’ organisation for the benefit of children and youngsters with intellectual and developmental disabilities, here on Tuesday.

The children enthralled the audience with various stage performances, ranging from songs to dance numbers.

On this occasion, those felicitated were the Governor of West Bengal Keshari Nath Tripathi, Ranu Bhattacharya (Gautam), the State Commissioner (Disabilities), singer Saptak Bhattacharjee, the representative of the Rt. Rev. Bishop of Calcutta, Rev. Andrew Simmick, Supriyo Dhar, Secretary, La Martiniere Schools, Kolkata, Rupkatha Sarkar, Principal, La Martiniere for Girls, Swarna Joshua, Vice Principal, La Martiniere for Girls and John Rafi, Principal, La Martiniere for Boys.

Mentaid’s 20th Annual Concert was held at La Martiniere for Girls, Kolkata. The Principal, Rupkatha Sarkar, addressed the gathering; it was followed by a presentation by the Interact Club of La Martiniere Schools, and also those on ‘Colours of Life’ and ‘Our Song’. 

 
The Interact Club of La Martiniere extended great support of Mentaid, presenting a guard of honour to the Governor, and as volunteers in various aspects of the Annual Concert.
