Afzal Guru's son among toppers in J&K class 10 board examination

Srinagar, Jan 13 (IBNS): Executed Parliament attack convict Afzal Guru's son Ghalib Guru has performed well in the 10th J&K board examination by securing the 19th rank in it.

“My father used to tell me to pray ... that is what I do,” Ghalib was quoted as saying by The Hindu.

His performance in the examination has been welcomed a Hurriyat faction leader Mirwaiz Umar Farooq .

Mirwaiz Umar Farooq tweeted: "Congratulations to all who have done well in matriculation exam specially Young Ghalib son of Shaheed Afzal Guroo,4 securing 94% way to go!!"


Afzal guru was  hanged on Feb 9, 2013 at Tihar Jail in Delhi. He was later buried inside the jail premises.
