Two mild intensity earthquakes hit Assam
Guwahati, Sep 25 (IBNS): Two mild intensity earthquakes rocked Assam on Tuesday morning.
The first tremor, measuring 4.7 on the Richter scale, was felt at around 9:17 am.
The second tremor was felt at 9:21 am.
The epicentre was in lower Assam’s Barpeta district, at a depth of 10 km and it felt in Guwahati, several other parts of Assam, Meghalaya, Arunachal Pradesh, Nagaland and Manipur.
No report of damage or casualties has been reported so far.
