Guwahati, Dec 15 (IBNS)  : Poachers killed another one-horned rhino in Assam’s Kaziranga National Park on Friday night.

The male rhino's horn was chopped off after it was gunned down near the Bagori forest range office in the national park.

On Saturday morning, some tourists  spotted the bullet-ridden carcass of the rhino  and they immediately informed the forest officials.

Poachers have killed seven rhinos in this  world heritage site  this year so far.

Over the past three years Kaziranga has lost 28 rhinos which were poached inside the park.

In 2016 2017 poachers had killed 14 rhinos.
