Palestine reports 6 new COVID-19 cases, 104 in total

Ramallah/Xinhua/UNI: Palestine on Sunday recorded six new cases of the COVID-19, bringing the total number of the cases to 104.

A child, three women and two men from the village of Qatanna, northwest of East Jerusalem, are confirmed infected with the virus, said Ibrahim Melhem, spokesman of the Palestinian government, in a news briefing in the West Bank city of Ramallah.

He added that all cases were in contact with previously infected cases, urging Palestinians to stay at home to avoid more infections.

According to Melhem, 18 had recovered and more recovering are expected within the coming days.

The Palestinian Ministry of Health earlier announced that it started to open new isolated quarantine centers in each West Bank district for discovering more infections.
