Pakistan: COVID-19 positivity rate spikes by 1.3 percent after detection of 152 cases

Islamabad: Pakistan, a nation which has witnessed several deadly rounds of COVID-19 outbreaks, witnessed a 1.3 percent rise in positivity rate after 152 new cases were detected, as per data released by the National Institute of Health on Sunday.

The positivity ratio has witnessed a steady rise in the last three days, moving up from 0.86% on June 17 and 1.17% a day earlier, reports Geo News.

According to fresh statistics released by the institute, 11,663 tests were conducted in the last 24 hours, the news channel reported.

NIH Pakistan said 55 patients are currently undergoing treatment in critical care units.

However, no deaths were recorded in the past 24 hours.
