Mumbai/IBNS: In some amount of respite, Mumbai's Covid test positivity rate has dropped below 10 per cent, media reports said on Friday.

A total of 43,525 samples were examined on Thursday, of which 4,328 people tested positive for COVID-19.

As a result, Mumbai's positivity test rate dropped to 9.94 per cent as of Thursday.

Mumbai's municipal corporation also revealed that 85 per cent of those who tested Covid positive are asymptomatic.

Meanwhile, the number of vacant beds in hospitals across Mumbai has been increased to 5,725 on Friday afternoon, which further indicates a drop in fresh admissions.
