Mumbai registers 6 new COVID-19 deaths

Mumbai/UNI: Mumbai recorded 20,971 Covid-19 cases and six fatalities while 8,490 patients recovered and were discharged from hospitals, the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) said on Saturday.

More than 250 police personnel were found infected in the city on Saturday.

The Mumbai Cricket Association (MCA) recorded 15 corona cases.

The MCA has been closed for three days.

Actor Swara Bhaskar was detected Corona infected, BMC sources said.

Dharavi, which houses a sprawling slum, has become a de facto danger zone with 300 corona patients.

More than 20 staff members of Home Minister Dilip Wasle Patil were hit by Covid, including his Principal Secretary.

Similarly, at least 22 staff of Civil Supply Minister Chhagan Bhujbal were also affected, the sources added.
