Maharashtra: 23 test positive for COVID-19 in Aurangabad, tally mounts to 239

Aurangabad/UNI: As many as 23 people tested positive for the novel coronavirus here on Saturday, taking the tally of infection cases to 239 in this Marathwada city.

According to the Dean Of Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH) Dr Kanan Yelikar, until Friday there were 216 positive patients in the city including eight fatalities and 24 cured.

Of the 23 cases, 11 cases are from Baijipura, five from Noor colony, three from Kailashnagar and two each from Samatanagar and Jaibhimnahar.

In the wake of the rising number of cases, police have imposed curfew in the region to contain the spread of the virus.
