Jammu and Kashmir: Upper reaches of Gulmarg experiences season's first light snowfall

Higher reaches of the famous ski resort of Jammu Kashmir’s Gulmarg received the season's first light snowfall on Sunday, officials said.

Affarwat mountains in the vicinity of Gulmarg received season's first light snowfall today much to the delight of the tourists staying in the valley of the meadow in north Kashmir.

Gulmarg witnessed a low of 3°C while the maximum temperature was recorded at 15°C on Sunday, MeT office said.

The MeT office predicted scattered to fairly widespread light rain or traces over Jammu and Kashmir during the next 24 hours.

It said the weather will remain dry during the next two days in Jammu and Kashmir.
