India witnesses spike in Covid-19 cases with 3,324 new infections in last 24 hrs

New Delhi/IBNS: Amid an upward trend of Covid-19 cases, India recorded 3,324 fresh infections in the last 24 hours, the Union Health Ministry stated in its daily bulletin on Sunday.

With the new cases, India's active caseload currently stands at 19,092.

The country's recovery rate is presently at 98.74 per cent with 2,876 recoveries in the last 24 hours.

Meanwhile, 189.17 crore vaccine doses have been administered so far under Nationwide Vaccination Drive.

As part of the nationwide vaccination drive, the Centre on Sunday announced that it will procure and supply (free of cost) 75 per cent of the vaccines being produced by the vaccine manufacturers in the country to states and UTs.
