India reports 7,946 new Covid-19 cases in 24 hours

New Delhi/UNI: India reported 7,946 new Covid-19 cases, taking the total tally of active caseload to 62,748, as per the Health Ministry data on Thursday.

As many as 25 fresh fatalities were reported, taking the toll to 5,27,911, while the overall cases touched 4,44,36,339.

A total of 9,828 patients beat the Covid-19 infection last taking total recoveries to 4,38,45,680 as the national recovery rate stood at 98.67%.

According to the bulletin, 88.61 crore Covid tests have been done so far.

In the last 24 hours, a total of 2,66,477 tests have been conducted.

“India has administered 212.52 cr doses of Covid-19 vaccine (94.25 cr Second Dose and 15.97 cr Precaution Dose), so far under the ongoing nationwide vaccination drive,” the ministry data said.
