Earth Day : Our duty to live in harmony with nature, says PM Modi

New Delhi, Apr 22 (IBNS) : As the Earth Day is being observed across the globe, Prime Minister Narendra Modi says "it is our duty to live in harmony" with the plants, animals and birds.

"It is our duty to live in harmony with the plants, animals & birds we share the Earth with. We owe this to our future," he said in a series of tweets on Saturday.

"EarthDay is a day of gratitude to Mother Earth & a day to reiterate our firm resolve to keep our planet clean & green," he tweeted.

In another tweet the PM said last year's theme of 'Environmental & Climate Literacy helps create awareness on protecting nature & natural resources.
