Delhi sees dip in Covid cases: 992 test positive

New Delhi/UNI: The national capital reported 992 new cases of COVID-19 in the past 24 hours, nearly 1,000 less than the previous day, while four more people lost their lives, a health bulletin said on Thursday.

According to the official data, the new addition has taken Delhi's caseload to 6,60,611and the death toll to 11,016.

As per experts, the fall in number of cases can be accorded to a low number of tests that were conducted on Monday owing to Holi.

As many as 36,757 people were tested in the past day. On Sunday, the government conducted 68,805 tests.

The recovery rate increased marginally to 97.20 per cent. The city's cumulative positivity rate is 4.55 per cent.

Currently, there are 4,832 COVID patients under home isolation across the city who are mostly asymptomatic or with very mild symptoms.

The number of active cases are 7,429 which includes patients under home isolation. Containment zones are 1,903.
