COVID 19 Suspect: 2 hospitalised in Aurangabad

Aurangabad/Maharashtra/UNI: Two suspected persons of Corona virus are being treated in isolation ward at Government Medical College Hospital (GMCH) and the district civil hospital (DCH) here, as samples of swab have been sent to Virology lab.

Talking to newsmen, the district civil surgeon Dr Sunder Kulkarni along with acting collector Bhanudas Palve said on Friday, a high-level review meeting was held with state chief minister Uddhav Thackeray in this regard through Video conference today, which was attended by all top brass health department.

Dr Kulkarni said so far 19 suspected patients were screened so far, of them 17 have been discharged after confirming that they had no symptoms of the Corona virus. While, two suspected persons, one was admitted in GMCH and another was in DCH hospital under treatment as their swab samples have been sent to the virology lab, Dr Kulkarni said.

Dr Kulkarni further said that, seven persons who arrived in the city from from Saudi Arabia, all of them will be screened this evening as per preventive measures, he added.
