COVID-19: 17 people test negative in Himachal Pradesh

Shimla/UNI:  Giving information about the status of Covid-19 in the state, Additional Chief Secretary (Health) RD Dhiman said that on Friday samples of 17 people were tested negative against covid-19 in the state.

He said till date a total of 2409 people have come from other countries, of which 688 people have completed the required monitoring period of 28 days.

He said 1476 people are still under surveillance and of these 179 people have left the state.

He said that today samples of 17 people were tested negative against covid-19 in the state. He said that so far, a total of 150 people have been checked.

He said that two persons who were found positive for covid-19 in the past, are under treatment in Tanda Medical College. One of those reports has been negative towards covid-19.

He informed that the IT department is creating a new web application for the health department, in which the information of all the people kept under house surveillance will be available.

RD Dhiman said that the Health Department is conducting extensive information, education and communication activities for prevention of infection of this virus, through which the public is being motivated to comply with the guidelines issued by the department so that to prevent infection of covid-19.
