China tornado: Death toll touches 99
Beijing, June 26 (IBNS): The death toll in the tornado which hit east China's Jiangsu Province has touched 99, local media report said on Sunday.
According to reports, more than 840 people have been injured so far.
"A powerful tornado and hailstorm pummelled the farmland and factories in Yancheng City, Jiangsu on Thursday, toppling houses, damaging wire poles and destroying a solar panel factory where hazardous chemicals had been stored," Xinhua News Agency reported.
