Andhra Pradesh on high alert over rising water levels in Krishna river

Vijaywada, Aug 14 (IBNS): After Kerala and Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh is now on high alert over the rising water levels in Krishna river, media reports said.

Kurnool, Vijayawada and 48 other areas are under the authorities' watch.

Former Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu's residence on the banks of Krishna river is reportedly submerged.

Meanwhile, the death toll in Maharashtra due to floods rose to 48.

Kerala, who is in high alert, saw the deaths of at least 200 people due to flood.
