7 infant deaths reported from Malda hospital in West Bengal
Malda, July 12 (IBNS) At least seven new-born babies died in the Malda Medical College and Hospital in Malda district of West Bengal, said reports on Saturday.
Media reports said the babies died from poor healthcare facilities and it all occurred within a span of 24 hours.
Media reports quoting Hospital deputy superintendent Jyotish Das said the infants were all suffering from low birth weight, malnutrition and respiratory problems.
Several infant deaths were reported from the same hospital in June.
