5.8 magnitude earthquake hits Delhi NCR, Jammu Kashmir

New Delhi: Earthquake tremors were felt in various regions including Delhi-NCR, Jammu and Kashmir, and along the borders adjoining Afghanistan and Pakistan on Saturday.

The tremors were felt in the national capital Delhi at around 9:34 pm.

Preliminary assessments suggest that the earthquake's magnitude is approximately 5.8 on the Richter scale.

As per the National Center for Seismology (NCS), the focal point of the earthquake was identified in the Hindu Kush area of Afghanistan, situated around 418 km northwest of the Gulmarg district in Jammu and Kashmir.
