Kolkata, Oct 13 (IBNS): ICT Sector Specialist Chris Moore on Monday said UK Trade & Investment (UKTI) is ready to extend all sorts of support to Indian entrepreneurs.

With e-Commerce, Internet advertising, data analytics, big data, interacting advertising, mobile content, cyber security, mobile apps, artificial Intelligence, social media, 3D, games and animation being some its key strengths, the UK is arguably one of the leading markets in Europe for software and IT services, he said.

“The Big Data Analytic Market, which is described as one of the UK’s Eight Great Technologies strategic areas, is estimated to benefit the UK economy by 216 bn pounds and create 58,000 new job opportunities by 2017,” he said here.

“UK is the largest data centre market in Europe. The UK investment in data centre in 2012-13 was valued nearly 15bn pounds, which is second to the US,” he said.

The expert said Indian firms such as Wipro, TCS, Zomato, Tech Mahindra are doing well in UK market.

He said Indian firms should come forward and tap the huge potential in UK.

Navinder Pal Singh Kalsi, Director, A D themis & Co, Immigration Law Firm, said, “Contrary to popular notion, getting a UK visa is not a difficult task.”
