TVS NTORQ 125 'Race Edition' will be Bangladesh's first Bluetooth scooter

Chennai/UNI/IBNS: TVS Motor Company announced the launch of TVS NTORQ 125 'Race Edition' on Monday in Dhaka at 1,79,900 Bangladeshi Taka.

Additionally, it also marked the launch of an exclusive technology platform TVS SMARTXONNECT, a Bluetooth enabled TVS technology meant to be connected with the TVS Connect app.

This feature provides a plethora of additions like the fully digital speedometer,  consisting of 55 features including, a top speed recorder, navigation assist and an in-built lap-timer.

On the launch, R Dilip President–International Business, said, “TVS Motor Company has always placed utmost importance on developing products with best-in-class technology to cater to the aspirations of our customers. With the launch of TVS NTORQ 125 Race Edition, we are bringing an attractive, innovative and advanced product for the youth of Bangladesh."

"The scooter has become a favourite among Gen Z across the globe and with its performance, style and technology, we are confident that it will carve a niche in the scooter segment of the country," he said.

The new edition of TVS NTORQ 125 comes with a CVTi-REVV 124.79cc, single-cylinder, 4-stroke, 3-valve, air-cooled SOHC engine that churns out 9.25bhp@7,500 rpm and 10.5Nm@5,500 rpm. It can also reach the 95 kmph (Kilometres per hour) speed mark and sprints from 0-100kmph in 9 seconds.

A senior company official claimed that the new model had garnered high attention from people in many countries and hoped the response would be the same in Bangladesh.

TVS Motor Company reported a consolidated net loss of Rs 14.72 crore in Q1 FY22 as compared to a net loss of Rs 182.79 crore registered in Q1 FY21, while their net sales proliferated 141.80 per cent to reach Rs 4,689.34 crore in Q1 FY22 from Rs 1,939.65 crore posted in Q1 last financial year.
