TVS celebrates Apache's 20-year journey, launches anniversary editions and premium variants
A few miles away from the scenic Nandi Hills in Bengaluru, a large number of motor enthusiasts had assembled on Saturday, amid the buzzing sound of the high-speed machine engines, to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the launch of TVS Motor Company's flagship motorcycle, Apache.
The Indian two-wheeler major unveiled limited-edition variants- TVS Apache RTR 160, 180, 200 and TVS Apache RR310 and RTR310- to mark the occasion.
The company also featured RTR 160 4V and RTR 200 4V in the presence of bike enthusiasts during a celebration event in the South Indian city.
Speaking to the media, Gaurav Gupta, President, India Two-Wheeler Business, TVS Motor Company, said, "This is a company born in India and now it is present in over 90 countries across the world. It is now ever-growing."
He said the company is witnessing an ever-increasing 'fan base' for the products.
"We have over 60 million customers across the world today. We are expecting to take it even higher with new product lines," he said.
The limited-edition line-up features a unique black-champagne-gold livery, dual tone alloy wheels and USB charger and much more, making them true collector’s pieces.
The new 4V variants that will sit at the top of the existing TVS Apache RTR 160 and 200 lineup, get added features like cutting-edge Class-D projector headlamps featuring LED DRLs, vibrant all-LED lighting, 5 inch connected TFT cluster, traction control system, bold new colours and dynamic graphics.
Speaking to IBNS, Babu Rengarajan, Vice President, Research & Development, TVS Motor Company said: "The customers are expecting a lot from us and it is pushing us to cross the boundaries."
When asked about the future progress and development that could be seen in Apache in the coming years, he said, "It is always important for us to make our products relevant."
"It is absolutely not enough to load our products with only new technologies. We believe the products should add value and give a stunning experience to our customers," he said.
"TVS heavily invest in its R&D. In the 20-year journey of Apache, you have seen how we have offered the best engineering and technological advancements to our customers," he said.
In his message to mark 2 decades of TVS Apache’s domination in performance motorcycling, K N Radhakrishnan, Director and CEO, TVS Motor Company, said in a statement issued by the compnay, “We are deeply grateful to the 6.5 million-strong TVS Apache community across the world whose unwavering trust and passion have shaped our journey over the last two decades."

TVS Motor Company achieves its highest ever sales in August 2025
TVS Motor Company recorded monthly sales of 509,536 units in August 2025 with a growth of 30% as against 391,588 units in the month of August 2024.
Two-Wheeler
Total two-wheelers registered a growth of 30% with sales increasing from 378,841 units in August 2024 to 490,788 units August 2025. Domestic two-wheeler registered growth of 28% with sales increasing from 289,073 units in August 2024 to 368,862 units in August 2025.
Motorcycle registered a growth of 30% with sales increasing from 170,486 units in August 2024 to 221,870 units in August 2025. Scooter registered a growth of 36% with sales increasing from 163,629 units in August 2024 to 222,296 units in August 2025.
Electric Vehicle
EV registered sales of 25,138 units in August 2025 as against 24,779 units in August 2024. Magnet availability continue to pose challenges in the short to medium term.
International Business
The Company's total exports registered a growth of 35% with sales increasing from 99,976 units in August 2024 to 135,367 units in August 2025. Two-wheeler exports grew by 36% with sales increasing from 89,768 units in August 2024 to 121,926 units in August 2025.
Three-Wheeler
Three-wheeler registered a growth of 47% with sales increasing from 12,747 units in August 2024 to 18,748 units in August 2025.
