Tokyo/Sputnik/UNI:  Japanese automobile giant Toyota on Tuesday lifted a shutdown at its third out of four plants in China, which was shut down over novel coronavirus fears, media reported.

The vehicle plant is located in Tianjin, and operations there will be limited due to temporary problems with the delivery of components, the Kyodo news agency reported.

On Monday, the company reopened two factories in Guangzhou and Changchun. The fourth plant in Chengdu is expected to resume operations on February 24, the media said.

The novel coronavirus, officially named COVID-19, was first detected in Wuhan, located in the Hubei Province, in late December and has since spread to more than 20 other countries. The death toll from the virus in mainland China has exceeded 1,800 people, and the number of confirmed cases has topped 72,400. Over 12,500 patients have been discharged from hospitals.
