Tata Steel registers highest ever annual sales

Mumbai, Apr 15 (IBNS): Tata Steel on Tuesday said its steel marketing and sales has achieved its highest ever annual sales volume of 8.52 million tons against the previous best of 7.71 million tons.

In a statement, the company said: "Tata Steel completed FY’14 with an overall increase in Production and Sales volumes. The year registered its best ever performance in Hot Metal, Crude Steel, Saleable Steel production and total Sales."

The company's Hot Metal production stood at 9.89 million tonnes in comparison to its previous best 8.86 million tonnes in in  2012-13.

It  registered best ever saleable steel production of 8.93 million tonnes and saleable steel dispatch of 8.8 million tonnes.

 The company said it has registered best ever annual sales in LPG segment at 110 kt and a market share of 23 percent.
