Sunil Bharti Mittal receives top Harvard honours

Cambridge, Massachusetts, May 27 (IBNS) Sunil Bharti Mittal, the founder of Bharti Enterprises and an alumni of Harvard Business School, received top honours from the varsity recently.

The institution hands over the top honours annually, ever since the first award was given in 1968.

Mittal received this year's Alumni Achievement Award.

Mittal, was quoted in the media as saying, "I am truly honoured to receive this recognition. Harvard Business School’s renowned management program helped me validate and sharpen my work towards putting together the building blocks to create one of the leading global telecom companies – Bharti Airtel."

Sunil Mittal is also a Padma awardee. He received India's third highest recognition, the Padma Bhushan in 2007.
