TVS Motor Company on Thursday announced that its Board has unanimously appointed Sudarshan Venu as the next Chairman and Managing Director, effective August 25.

The elevation higlights Venu’s strategic leadership and contribution to the company’s growth during his tenure as Director.

Sudarshan Venu succeeds Sir Ralf Speth, who will step down at the close of the Annual General Meeting on August 22, 2025, having chosen not to seek reappointment.

Speth will be appointed Chief Mentor for a three-year term starting August 23, 2025.

Expressing gratitude, Venu said he was honoured to lead TVS and pledged to build on the legacy of Chairman Emeritus Venu Srinivasan.

He also acknowledged Speth’s role in driving the company’s global expansion and innovation focus.

Speth, in turn, said he was confident of Venu’s vision and energy to lead TVS forward. Chairman Emeritus Srinivasan praised Speth’s global leadership and said Sudarshan was well-positioned to take the company to “even greater heights.”
