Snapdeal announces an additional 5% discount on fashion for ICICI cards and Pockets users

New Delhi, May 8 (IBNS): Snapdeal, an online marketplace, on Monday announced a special sale on its fashion category, from May 8-12.

Customers that use ICICI cards or Pockets, the bank’s mobile wallet, can avail an additional 5% off on Snapdeal’s fashion offerings, during this period.

These offers are valid on transactions done both on the app and the website. The minimum transaction amount to avail this offer is Rs. 2500, and there are no restrictions on the number of transactions per card. The offer is also valid on any EMI purchases made through ICICI credit cards.

The promotion is applicable to many leading domestic and international fashion brands including Lee Cooper, Mufti, Puma, Allen Solly, Arrow, UCB, US Polo, Peter England, Mother Care, Nike, Provogue, FCUK, Van Heusen, Flying Machine, Lotto.

With summer having kicked in much earlier this year, the platform has witnessed an early spike on heat friendly garments including linen clothing, pure cotton wear, and breathable garments especially in the active wear category.

Fashion contributes upto 40% of Snapdeal’s sales volumes and has grown by a 50% YoY with majority of the growth fuelled from tier 1 and tier 2 cities. Key beneficiaries of this growth include categories such as branded sports footwear that has grown in its contribution by 75% YoY, followed by women’s clothing growing by 60%.
