Sensex falls over 100 points

Mumbai/UNI: The BSE Sensex on Friday declined 130.17 points at 61,620.43 in opening trade as selling pressure was seen across the board.

The Nifty too slipped 50.40 points at 18,293.50.

The Sensex registered intra day high and low at 61,929.88 and 61,617.22 points respectively.

The Nifty recorded intra day high and low at 18,394 and 18,291 points respectively.

The Mid Cap fell by 0.30 per cent and Small Cap by 0.91 per cent.

In 30 scripts, 7 advanced, while 23 declined.

The losers were M & M by 1.37 per cent to Rs 1,241, Titan by 1.15 per cent to Rs 2,552.40, Bharti Airtel by 0.95 per cent to Rs 830 and Maruti Suzuki by 0.82 per cent to Rs 8,912.45.

The gainers were Kotak Bank by 1.82 per cent to Rs 1,985.35, SBI by 0.68 per cent to Rs 603.20 and Asian Paints by 0.45 per cent to Rs 3,086.
