Sensex down by 700 points

Mumbai, May 6 (IBNS) The Sensex dropped by more than 700 points while Nifty was down above 200 points as trade in the Indian market ended on Wednesday.

Moving down by 722.77 points, the Sensex stood at 26717.37.

The Nifty stood at 8097, down by 227.80 points.
