Rostec will showcase Russian high-tech equipment at Aero India

Bangalore, Feb 16 (IBNS) Rostec State Corporation, an organization that promotes development, production and export of hi-tech industrial products for civil and defense sectors, will showcase a large Russian contingent at AERO INDIA 2015, in Bangalore.

More than 30 corporate organizations will demonstrate their project designs.

Russia and India are planning to reach a new level of industrial cooperation.

The two parties have engaged in substantive negotiations on production of Mi-17 and Ka-226T located in India. Concern "Kalashnikov" is considering the possibility of establishing a joint arms production facility.

By decision of the Russian Industry and Trade MDB "Compass" was defined as the co-executor on the contract to provide India access to the GLONASS satellite signal, including the supply of navigation equipment and the integration of Russian hardware components.

Russian proposals for the implementation of specific projects, including the joint development of prospective submarine were directed to the Indian side in February 2014 and the Russian side is ready for further consultations with Indian partners.

"With a substantial presence at Aero India 2015, the Russian pavilion will occupy a space of  703 m2. The joint delegation of Rostec Corporation will consist of 245 members of the Russian enterprises, Ministry of industry and trade as well as representatives of Federal Military-Technical Cooperation Service (FMTCS) of Russia. In addition to military equipment the models of civilian goods will be shown in India," read a company statement.

"Russia and India remain strategic partners in both military and civil fields. The showcase of both military and civilian technologies at Aero India 2015 stands testament to that fact”, said Head of the International Cooperation Department of Rostec State Corporation Victor Kladov.

“Joint projects are also implemented by such holdings of Rostec as Helicopters of Russia, UEC, KAMAZ, VSMPO-AVISMA Corporation, etc. Military-technical cooperation between two countries contributes to solution of strategic objective on improving Russian-Indian turnover," he added
