The prices of 19-kg commercial LPG cylinders were hiked by Rs. 42 in Delhi on Monday, adding pressure on small restaurants, hotels, caterers, and eateries that rely on them for daily operations, according to media reports.

Following the revision, the price of a 19-kg commercial LPG cylinder in Delhi will now cost ₹3,113.50.

In Kolkata, the same cylinder will now be priced at ₹3,255.50 after an increase of ₹53.50.

Sources told India Today that there has been no change in the price of domestic LPG cylinders used by households.

This marks the second increase in commercial LPG prices since May 1, when rates were hiked by ₹9.93.

The hikes have been announced amid ongoing geopolitical tensions in the Middle East involving the US and Iran.

Meanwhile, the price of 5-kg Free Trade LPG (FTL) cylinders has also been increased to ₹821.50 in Delhi, following a hike of ₹11 per cylinder.
