Petrol, diesel prices hiked

New Delhi, Feb 15 (IBNS): Giving pressure to consumers, the prices of petrol and diesel were increased on Sunday.

While petrol price was hiked by  82 paisa per litre,  diesel was increased by 61 paisa, officials said.

In a statement, Indian Oil Corporation said, "Increase in Retail Selling Price of Petrol by Rs. 0.82/litre at Delhi (including State levies) with corresponding increase in other States."

" Increase in Retail Selling Price of Diesel (Retail) by Rs. 0.61 /litre at Delhi (including State levies) with corresponding increase in other States," it said.

"Prices of Petrol and Diesel were last revised downwards w.e.f. 4th February'2015 by Rs.2.42/ litre and Rs.2.25 / litre respectively (including State levies at Delhi). This decrease in prices was effected on the back of declining international oil prices," read the statement.
