Markets wipe out early gains to end flat on Thursday

Mumbai, Aug 4 (IBNS): Indian market absorbed the news that the GST Bill was finally passed at the monsoon session of the Parliament and now awaits the details about its implementation, according to media reports.

Although the market started on a strong note, it ended flat on Thursday, with Sensex up up 16.86 points at 27714.37 and Nifty up 6.25 points at 8551.10.

The top gainers included Tata Steel, Sun Pharma, Adani Ports, Bharti Airtel, Tata Motors, Hero Motocorp and NTPC while key losers included Infosys and Asian Paints, Lupin and Coal India.
