Kirloskar Pneumatic Q1FY26 profit edges up 4% despite flat revenue; strong order book lends momentum
Pune: Kirloskar Pneumatic Company Ltd (KPCL) posted a 4% year-on-year rise in net profit for the quarter ended June 30, 2025, with profit after tax increasing to ₹28.1 crore from ₹26.9 crore a year ago, even as revenue remained flat.
Revenue from operations stood at ₹272 crore, slightly lower than ₹275.3 crore in Q1 FY25, while total income held steady at ₹280.2 crore.
Profit before tax rose modestly to ₹36.8 crore from ₹35.9 crore in the year-ago period, and EBITDA margin improved marginally to 15.7% of total income from 15.6% last year.
The company attributed the stable performance to continued resilience in its core compression business, which accounted for 89% of revenue.
While subdued order finalisations due to global uncertainties impacted fresh bookings during the quarter, KPCL still secured ₹365 crore in new orders, bringing its order book to ₹1,725 crore as of July 1—up from ₹1,624 crore at the start of the quarter.
The management said it remains confident of building momentum in the coming quarters.
During Q1, the company launched a new semi-hermetic reciprocating compressor named “Tyche,” targeting the commercial refrigeration segment. The motor for the product is being manufactured in-house to control cost and supply reliability.
KPCL also inaugurated an environmentally sustainable foundry in Nashik using lost foam casting technology, aimed at improving cost efficiency and deepening backward integration.
Basic earnings per share (EPS) improved to ₹4.33, up from ₹4.15 in the previous year.
