Jet Airways Naresh Goyal, Anital Goyal resign

New Delhi/Mumbai, Mar 25 (UNI): Jet Airways’s founder and chairman Naresh Goyal and his wife Anita Goyal resigned as directors from the Board on Monday, the embattled private airline said in a listing to the stock exchange.

Naresh Goyal will also cease to be the chairman of the airline, the Jet Airways said after a Board meeting held in Mumbai.

Besides the two, one nominee of the airline partner Etihad Airways PJSC, Kevin Knight, also stepped down as director from the Board.

The Board meeting has also decided that lenders would infuse a capital of Rs 1500 crore immediately by issuing appropriate debt instrument against security of its assets which will restore normalcy to the company's level of operations.
