Indian Rupee up by 7 paise against USD
Mumbai/UNI: The Rupee on Wednesday moved up by seven paise at 70.81 against the US Dollar on fresh buying of US Dollars by bankers and exporters, the dealers at the Forex Market said.
In opening trade the local unit slipped by 11 paise to 70.99. Later, it erased earlier losses and finished positive at 70.81, gaining by seven paise as compared to its last close.
The domestic unit recorded day high and low at 71.01 and 70.80 respectively.
The Rupee improved on weak Dollar against other world currencies inspite of negative equity market, they added.
