Indian Market: Sensex touches all-time high at 49,792.12 pts

Mumbai/UNI: The BSE Sensex on Wednesday ended at a new highs at 49,792.12, spurting 393.83 pts as buying was seen across the board amid strong global cues.

The Nifty of national stock exchange too rose by 123.55 pts at 14,644.70.

Registering a solid gain of more than 800 pts on Tuesday, the day opened on a strong note at 49,508.79, rising by 110 pts. During the day it zoomed up by 476 pts to 49,874.42, days high, before closing at 49,792.12, surging 393.83 pts from its previous close.

The sensex registered days high and low at 49,874.42 and 49,373.68 pts respectively.

The Nifty recorded days high and low at 14,666.45 and 14,517.55 pts respectively.
The upbeat mood in the global markets, ahead of the swearing-in of Joe Biden as the 46th President of the United States, boosted the equity market today.

The sectoral indices like Auto, Technology, Energy and IT sparkled today.

Scrips that glittered were Tech Mahindra, Maruti Suzuki, Asian Paints, Reliance Industries and M& M.

The Mid Cap gained by 1.08 PC and Small Cap by 0.58 pc.

In 30 scrips, 21 advanced while 9 declined.
