Indian Market: Sensex down by over 400 pts

Mumbai/UNI:  The benchmark index of Bombay Stock Exchange lost another 404 points to 31,156.95 in early trade on Tuesday as heavy selling was witnessed in Finance, Bankex, Auto and Capital Good s stocks amid negative global cues.

There was indication of extending nationwide lockdown beyond May 17, by the central government also weighed on the sentiment.

The nifty of national stock exchange too dropped by 115.25 pts to 9,123.95. The nifty registered intra days high and low at 9,168 and 9,116.95 pts respectively.

The sensex registered intra days high and low at 31,342.93 and 31,141.67 pts respectively.
