Indian Market: Sensex down by 814 points

Mumbai: The BSE Sensex on Friday dropped 814 pts at 54,887 in opening session as selling was seen across the board amid weak global cues.

The Nifty declined 246 pts at 16,436.05.

The sensex registered days high and low at 54,968.91 and 54,721.78 pts respectively.

The Nifty registered days high and low at 16,457.70 and 16,382.50 pts respectively.

The Mid cap fell 2.31 pc and Small Cap by 2.48 pc. In 30 scrips, 2 advanced while 28 declined.

The losers were HCL Technology by 3.76 pc to Rs 1031.65, Wipro by 3.23 pc to Rs 484.85, Bajaj Finserv by 3.09 pc to y 13700, Bajaj finance by 3.02 pc to Rs 6120 and Maruti Suzuki by 2.77 pc to Rs 7200.

The gainers were Reliance Industries by 0.40 pc to Rs 2651.30 and M& M by 0.18 pc to Rs 900.
