Indian benchmark indices end Thursday on negative note

Mumbai, Apr 13 (IBNS): The Indian market ended Thursday on negative note with BSE Sensex down 182.03 points at 29461.45 and Nifty down by 52.65 points at 9150.80.

The earnings season for the March quarter took off on Thursday with Infosys being the first to come out with their results. The company's net profit for the March quarter declined 2.83 per cent to Rs 3,603 crore.

Key stocks that gained on Thursday were Sun Pharma, Reliance, Bank of Baroda, ICICI Bank, HUL, and Coal India while Infosys, Hindalco, Bharti Airtel, Tata Steel, TCS and Tata Motors declined.
