New Delhi, June 2 (IBNS) The state-run telecom Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited will offer free national roaming from June 15.
Announcing this on Tuesday, Union minister for Communications Ravi Shankar Prasad said Spectrum sharing and trading policy will be taken up by the  Cabinet this month and full mobile portability will be given from July.

The Government's decision is part of  its promise to provide people free roaming.

In May, BSNL had slashed roaming tariff by up to 40 per cent  for its prepaid and postpaid mobile connection following a telecom tariff order issued by the Telecom Regulatory Authority of India.
