FASTag annual pass crosses 25 lakh users with over 5.6 cr transactions in 2 months

New Delhi: Usage of the FASTag annual pass has surged, crossing 25 lakh users within two months of its launch, according to the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI).

The pass has recorded about 5.67 crore transactions across the country, reflecting a strong response from highway commuters.

Launched on August 15, 2025, the annual pass aims to enhance the “ease of commuting” by offering a seamless and cost-effective travel option for non-commercial vehicles on National Highways and Expressways. It is valid at around 1,150 toll plazas across India.

The pass eliminates the need for frequent recharges by allowing one-time payment of ₹3,000, which covers one year of travel or up to 200 toll plaza crossings.

It can be activated within two hours through the RajmargYatra App or the NHAI website on an existing FASTag linked to the vehicle.

The pass, however, is non-transferable and applicable only on National Highways and National Expressways.

For State Highways and parking facilities managed by state authorities or local bodies, payments continue to be deducted from the linked FASTag wallet balance.

NHAI said the overwhelming response underscores its commitment to providing a “safe, smooth and seamless” travel experience for highway users nationwide.
