CG wins usd 35 million business from Indonesian electricity company

Mumbai, Mar 18 (IBNS) Crompton Greaves Limited (CG) belonging to the Avantha Group informed on Thursday that it has won an order worth USD 35 million (Rs 236 crore approximately) from Indonesia's state-owned electricity company, PT PLN (Persero) to manufacture and install 28 power transformers.
The power transformers range from 83.3 MVA to 167 MVA and rated voltage 500kV/150kV.
 
CG's power transformers. to be manufacture in the company's manufacturing facility in Indonesia, will be installed across PT PLN's transmission network, spread over multiple substations and power plants in the Java, Sumatra and Kalimantan provinces.
 
The delivery period is scheduled from May 2016 and March 2017.
 
The company said that it has been providing PT PLN with power transmitters in the range of 30 MVA to 500 MVA and voltage levels upto 500kV since 1993.
