Career Central Banker Michael Patra appointed as RBI Deputy Governor
Mumbai/IBNS: The government on Tuesday appointed Career Central Banker Michael Patra as the Deputy Reserve Bank of India (RBI) Governor, media reports said.
Patra will be in office for three years from the day of joining or until further orders.
He has become one of the four Deputy RBI Governors.
He is currently the executive director in charge of the RBI's research department.
Patra has a doctorate in Economics from the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT).
