Bajaj Auto August 2020 sales drop by 9 pc

Mumbai/UNI: Auto major, Bajaj Auto reported a drop of 9 per cent in its total sales for the month of August 2020 at 356,199 units as against 3,90,026 units in August 2019.

The company has sold 3,21,058 units of motorcycles during August 2020, as compared to 3,25,300 in August 2019, a drop of 1 per cent.

Exports of motorcycles was down 6 pc to 1,42,838 in August 2020, as against 1,52,276 in August 2019. Whereas, the domestic sales of motorcycles increased 3 pc to 1,78,220 units in August 2020 as compared to 1,73,024 units in August 2019.

Commercial Vehicles sales dropped 46 pc to 35,141 units in August 2020, as compared to 64,726 in August 2019. Exports of Commercial Vehicles was 7 pc lower at 27,482 units in August 2020, as against 29,641 in August 2019.

Domestic sales of Commercial Vehicles dropped 78 pc in August 2020 to 7659 units as compared to 35,085 units in August 2019.
